Debated Goofs - Commented Goofs - Corrected Goofs - Explained Goofs

  • (Revealing mistakes) In one scene the air is getting sucked out of a building which then causes a large vacuum. During this scene Arnie is floating while he grabs onto a nearby pole. If you look closely, you'll see a wire holding him up. - David
  • (Revealing mistakes) In one scene Arnie jumps into a train, the only problem is it's not Arnie but a stunt double. - David
  • (Revealing mistakes) At the Mars airport place, after Quaid's cover has been blown the security grunts are scrambled. One close-up of a grunt grabbing on to a hand rail shows that the hi-tech wrist command units are nothing but calculators taped to the actors. - Danny B
  • (Continuity) In the scene where Quaid is checking into the hotel on mars, he receives a flyer for The Last Resort. When he unfolds it, he unfolds it with the image facing the camera, yet when the scene cuts to him looking at it, the image is facing him. - Tom
  • (Factual errors) When Richter and his men are shooting at the hologram of Quaid, shouldn't their bullets go through the hologram and into each other? - Tom
    • Addition: Yes. It is a miracle that no one gets hurt. They are standing facing each other a few meters apart and firing automatic weapons straight at each other. "What happened here was a miracle, and I want you to fucking acknowledge it."
  • (Continuity) When Arnie returns to his apartment after fighting with and killing his co-workers, he runs to Sharon Stone and grabs her shoulders. After she says he's crazy and imagining things, he holds up his blood soaked hands to prove he's not. But his hands are clearly not bloody at the beginning of the scene. (VHS) - erehwon
  • (Factual errors) In the scene where Melissa is getting sucked out of the building along with Quaid, she hold on to a railing and you can see her bracelet dangling loosely down on her right wrist - the bracelet should have gotten sucked right up her armpit. - Webmaster
  • (Factual errors) Obviously there was a lot of creative vs. factual decisions in this movie. First, Mars is an icebox, when Arnie and his girlfriend are sucked out they would have frozen solid immediately. There is no way the planet's environment could have been oxygenized in the few seconds needed to save the heroes. - Tracy
